A Letter to My Long Distance BFF
Dedicated to Emmie.
We met under not-so-great circumstances, but I’m so glad we did. If we hadn’t gone through all of this pain and misery we wouldn’t have met. I am grateful every day that fate made us go through hell at the same time. Enduring all of these mental health hardships is God’s way of giving me a great gift, which is you.
I cannot thank you enough for everything you have done for me. I’ve never had a friend that is so genuine and loyal. You are there for me whenever I need a laugh. You’re always there to lend a helping hand (even from 4 hours away). Most importantly you are a constant reminder that there are good people in this world, and that I am worth being friends with one of them.
I want you to know that you are a true blessing in my life. You are worthy of all of the great things this world can offer. You are worthy of the peace and bliss that I know will come your way soon. You deserve more than you know, but most of all you deserve happiness. I saw a quote once that said “True friendship isn’t about being inseparable, it’s about being separated and nothing changes”. I am so fortunate to have a friendship that isn’t based on how much we see each other.
I want you to know that I will always be there for you, no matter what the circumstance is. I’ll always be a part of your support system and one of your biggest cheerleaders. I’ll always be here to make you smile, even from hundreds of miles away. You have changed the definition of friendship for me, which I could not thank you enough for.
I love you!
