Internet Lifestyle Hacks For the Busy Millennial
We’re a busy generation. Life nowadays seems to be appointment after appointment, interview after interview, project after project, etc. after etc. With all of the running around we do on a daily basis, it’s easy for the small errands and tasks to slip through the cracks. Well, many companies have taken notice and decided to help make your life a bit easier! Here are some internet hacks that will help you maintain your sanity in your busy, busy life!
More and more people are joining Amazon Prime due to it’s sheer convenience. With a busy life that’s constantly moving, a free and hurried shipment of products, supplies, etc. is a necessary miracle. It costs only $10 per month to get free shipping on all products with faster delivery time. When you’re someone who doesn’t have time to stop at the store for even the smallest thing, this is a must.
Amazon Dash Buttons:
Amazon’s provided another great service for the busiest of people who can’t stop to get their household necessities (or whatever they’re constantly running out of). Dash buttons are devices that you can press to re-order a product that is a staple in your everyday life. Some people have these buttons for things such as garbage bags, paper towels, toilet paper, even beauty products!
It’s a great way to make sure that you’re fully stocked on everything that you need.
If you’re lacking time to pick up your toiletries, there’s a good chance that you’re also missing out on some quality grocery shopping time. Peapod is here to help! If you’ve got a nearby qualifying grocery store, you can order your groceries through Peapod and have them delivered to your house during one of their delivery days!
My family has been using this service for a long time and swears by it. If Peapod ever runs out of something that you ordered, they will give you a substitution at a discounted price! Here’s a specific quirk: If you happen to order eggs and even one of them cracks in the slightest, they’re free! Let’s just hope that’s never the case.
Getting your prescriptions through CVS just got 1000x easier! If you sign up to receive text message updates from them, they’ll be able to notify your when you’re due for a refill, when your order has been placed and when your prescription is ready for pick-up! These texts are great reminders for a busy mind!
Grab And Go Dining
GrubHub’s popularity has yet to dwindle as it remains one of the most popular sites used to find nearby fast food, restaurants and other food services. Living a go-go-go life can make it pretty tough to sit down for a meal. But, when you do have that tiny bubble of time available, you shouldn’t have to waste it waiting for your food. Talk about eating into your time!
One of the best features on GrubHub is it’s selection to narrow your search results. You can select delivery and order online to find nearby food services that are the most convenient for you. You can order your food for delivery or pick-up and set it for a time that works the best for you! Easy peasy! I cannot recommend this enough if you have very little time to run and grab food. Here are some places that I recommend if you have them (delivery/pick-up services available depending on location):
- Panera Bread
- Buffalo Wild Wings
- Olive Garden
- Jimmy John’s
Money, Money, Money!
There are many occasions when friends or co-workers will cover them on a check for lunch or dinner. How do you pay them back? Well, if you have any of the following money charging/sending apps on your phone like:
- PayPal or
- Square Cash
… you’ll be able to pay them back in no time! Personally, I use Square Cash. To have your money transfer instantly, there’s only a .25c charge as opposed to the other services which charge $1 or more. There is no way for anyone to get your financial information making the services totally safe to use. In my everyday life, I find this type of service very necessary.
Things To Do!
Personally, I’m the kind of person who runs on a schedule which I have nicely written down in a planner. I write things like appointments, my work schedule, events, birthdays, payments to be made, etc. But, I love using the Wunderlist app to keep track of certain lists that I just don’t have space for in my planner.
Wunderlist is a list making app that will forever change the way you see list-making. You can keep multiple lists at a time, check off each items as you complete your tasks, and it allows you to order your lists or the items within the lists in any way you like! It’s great for keeping grocery lists, to do lists, shopping lists, etc.
“In between goals is a thing called life, that has to be lived and enjoyed.” ~Sid Caesar
In the world we live, life can get busy or hectic or whatever you call it. But, it’s important to recognise when you’re stretching yourself too thin. It’s okay to find some time for yourself. When you’re working, give it your all. When you’re living, give it your all again. Let some of these services help unload some of the burden and just relax.
Life is good, kid. Now, go live it!
