Let’s Talk About The Male Romper
If for any random reason social media didn’t exist for you the week of May 17, you 100% missed the talk of the season – the male romper.
That is right, the romper, for men. What happens when you drop two letters and throw a romper in the mix? A viral social media reaction. It has been all the rage on the internet, and people all over definetly feel some type of way about it.
The male romper is exactly what it sounds like – the romper, but for men. It’s called the RompHim. It started off as a Kickstarter campaign in an effort to crowd fund money to put the piece into production. Not only did the company reach (and exceed) their goal of $10,000, but all of the internets limelight as well.
Men and women, basically everyone, had something to say about it. Some people found it trendy, and others, something they never hoped to spot another man wearing outdoors. Most people were just surprised because they had never seen this before. Little did they notice, it’s been around for ages.
Since the 60’s men have sported the original “Romphim.” Except that’s not was it was called back then. If you were an inmate, it was your jail jumpsuit. If you were a mechanic or wrestler, it was your uniform. If you were going to the beach, it was your one-piece swimsuit. If you were Elvis, well, you were just a rockstar. It didn’t just appear as a crowdfunding campaign for the very first time in existence. It’s been there, just never referred to as the male romper until now.

Of course the only difference would be that it’s at thigh length now and would come in a variety of colors and prints. What do you think about it? If you’re a guy, would you wear it? Let us know in the comments below.
