Miley Cyrus Dedicates Special “Malibu” Performance to Victims of Manchester Explosion
Only a day following the attack on Manchester, Miley Cyrus took to the stage of The Voice to dedicate an emotional performance of “Malibu” to the victims and their families. Cyrus started off the performance by saying, “I’d like to dedicate this song to my good friend, Ariana Grande, and everyone who experienced that horrific attack yesterday.”
During the performance of the song, the background overflowed with a beautiful projected waterfall. This gave a tranquil visual to the powerful performance. When Cyrus finally reaches the climax of the performance, she unleashes her commanding vocals for a repeat of the song’s chorus.
The “We Can’t Stop” singer finally finishes the ballad with tears in her eyes as the performance came to a somber ending.
Miley Cyrus’s new hit single “Malibu” was originally composed for her fiancé, Liam Hemsworth.
