My Autumn Beauty Empties – Tried And Tested Loves!
Autumn is well and truly here! The leaves are falling from the trees, the weather is gradually getting cooler and more temperamental and scarves and gloves are starting to feature everywhere! For me, this is my favourite season with all the colour changes and the transition from light to heavy woollen clothing! It is also the time of year when I enhance my beauty and skincare regime by adding in heavier creams and oils, luxurious shower and bath products and more deeply coloured makeup and glitter!
Because of that change, some of my favourite beauty supplies have conveniently finished so I decided to share my empties with you! These are all beauty products I have been using over Summer and early Autumn and would happily buy again.

Amika Dry Shampoo & Fresh Rose Face Mask
If you read my posts on Millennials 365 you will know that I received this amazing dry shampoo in a Birchbox – you can read the post here. Prior to receiving this dry shampoo, I had never heard of this brand and I was still experimenting with dry shampoos. However, Amika dry shampoo is excellent! It has a gorgeous refreshing scent and left my hair grease-free with no white residue or rough overly dry texture. The full-size canister is not cheap but it is definitely going on my to buy list because it is one of the best dry shampoos I have used.
The Fresh Rose Face Mask is another great skincare find that I received in a goodie bag. Whilst a small tub, it lasted a long time as I did not use it more than once a week and a little amount would easily cover the whole face. It smells exactly like fresh roses and the gel-like texture also contained rose fragments within it! It smoothes over the skin easily and after use, my skin felt super soft and clean. I had no reactions or breakouts after use – if anything my skin looked brighter and smoother! Fresh is a great brand and one whose products I love testing.
Demes Get the Funk Out Deodorizer
I received this spray in a beauty box by Beauty 12 – check out my post on the box here. This spray is multipurpose in that it can be used as a deodorant, hand sanitizer, deodorizer and room spray! It is made with Eucalyptus and Peppermint oils which provide a fresh zesty fragrance! I used it mainly as a body spray and the scent lasted for a while on the skin without drying it out. It could also be sprayed around my bedroom and on clothes to refresh them! I would certainly consider buying it again.
Nip+Fab Face Pads
I love this brand! I have tried a number of their products and everything is excellent! These face pads are amazing, they are very moist with a distinct but pleasant smell and after cleansing the skin, they remove any remaining dirt and grime easily. My skin always feels soft, clean and smooth after using a wipe and I noticed within a few days of using them that my skin looked much clearer and fresh! I have already replaced these wipes and continue to see positive results.
Fresh Soy Face Cleanser & Free From Frizz Shampoo
This cleanser from Fresh is another goodie bag treat and I am so glad I was able to try it. The cleanser is suitable for all skin types and the texture is a cloudy loose gel. It has a faint scent which is fairly innocuous but it cleans the skin beautifully! It is perfect when you want to use something gentle to cleanse as it removes everything but doesn’t feel harsh or astringent. Some days I would use it twice in a row because of heavy makeup and my skin would feel soft and hydrated after use. Another Fresh success!
Free from Frizz is a brand I only tried this year. I tested a few of their products and was really happy with the results – check out the post here.
This shampoo is lovely. It smells great and really cleaned my hair so that it felt squeaky clean – literally! The best thing, however, was that it genuinely reduced the amount of frizz I had when I dried my hair. I have always had frizz and fluff and this was the first product that visibly reduced it! I am going to buy the full-size versions of the entire range as soon as possible!
Loreal Face Wipes & Glamglow Supermud
These face wipes are hands down the best I have ever used! I bought them on a whim as I try not to rely on face wipes over proper cleansers. But, there are days when you just want to clean your skin and relax so I thought I test them out. I am so glad I did because they are amazing – they thoroughly clean the skin including heavy eye makeup without drying it out, they smell gorgeous and they are so moist that one wipe can clean your whole face and still have moisture left! I have restocked these already and will always buy them over other wipes now.
Who hasn’t heard of Glamglow products? I have wanted to try their face masks for ages so I was thrilled when they saw a comment of mine on Instagram about trying the Supermud Clearing treatment and send me a sample! I wasn’t disappointed, I managed to get 3 uses out of the sample and each time my skin looked and felt really smooth and clean and I had no negative reactions. The treatment itself is a thick grey lotion which sets on the skin and smells a little like toothpaste! It can be used on the entire face or as a spot treatment – I did both and over a pesky spot it does wonders to reduce it! I will happily buy the full-size version now I know how good it is!
Clinique 2 in 1 Foundation and Concealer & La Theorie des Volcans Mask Scrub
I love this foundation by Clinique. I only had a sample pot as I wanted to test the shade match and the longevity of the cover but I will definitely buy the full size. The foundation-concealer is reasonably thick in consistency and full coverage, which I always like. It smoothed onto the skin really well with no patchiness and set within a few minutes. It lasted all day without moving unless you really rubbed it! the coverage is excellent all over the face including under the eyes and my skin looked flawless after application without looking cakey or mask-like. All in all, it is a brilliant product and worth testing if you’re in the market for a new foundation.
The mask scrub is another firm favourite now! It is paraben free, smells lovely and floral and can be used as a mask or a gentle scrub. I used it as both many times and my skin always felt beautiful afterwards. It does not dry the skin out and is not abrasive at all despite having a reasonably grainy texture! I managed to get a lot of uses out of this travel size and will be adding the full size to my buy list!
Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation
Last but not least, I tried a sample of the infamous Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation! Despite the size of the bottle, I got a good few uses out of it and I have to say I am now firmly on the bandwagon! It is an excellent foundation, full coverage with no streaks or patchiness, long wearing and unaffected by sweat and oil from the skin. It is quite thick in consistency but applies easily and sets quickly. I didn’t need much to cover my entire face and the end result was smooth flawless skin. I completely understand why women rave about it now and will buy a full size of my shade in the future!
My Empties – Overall Thoughts?
All of these beauty products are worth buying again! I could not find fault with any of them and just need to save the money so I can replenish them as fast as possible! I hope this post is useful to you and encourages you to try some new beauty brands and items – at the very least it is worth getting samples to test, you might find some real gems!
