My Kiko Summer Makeup Haul
Hi, makeup fans!
Summer is fading and Autumn is on its way! That means a change in fashion, a change in food and a change in makeup! I’ve loved trying new makeup and creating colourful and glowing looks over the Summer months, but I’m just as excited about upcoming Autumn releases and trends!
That being said before Summer has truly left us I wanted to share one of my makeup hauls by a favourite brand, Kiko Milano! If you haven’t heard of Kiko before, the brand originates in Italy. The company was founded in 1997 and its ethos is to give women innovative products whilst being affordable. All products are created with the highest quality and cruelty-free. Kiko produces makeup and skincare as well as makeup brushes and accessories, all of which I would highly recommend! Every time I visit the store in Birmingham, I rarely leave without purchasing something and I have never been disappointed with anything.
My Kiko Haul
Whilst this makeup haul is small in comparison to some of my other hauls, I love all the products! The items I purchased were:
- An Active Fluo Eyeshadow Palette
- A Mini Divas Baked Eyeshadow
- An Active Fluo Neon Eye Pencil
- A Glow Fusion Powder Highlighter
1. The Kiko Eyeshadow Palette
This palette is filled with six bright matte shades which can be used together or individually to create several fun and colourful looks! The eyeshadows are smooth and easy to blend and the pigmentation is excellent. I have used the palette a few times over the Summer and every time the eyeshadows glided onto the eyes easily and lasted without fading all day. If you love colour you should definitely buy this palette!
2. The Kiko Baked Eyeshadow
These baked eyeshadows might be mini but they pack a punch! They can be used wet or dry depending on the effect you’re looking for. When used wet the colour is even more intense! The eyeshadow is easy to apply and the texture is soft and silky. There is some fallout when used, but it’s a small price to pay because the colour payoff is brilliant. The high pearlescent effect creates a lovely highly metallic result, and the eyeshadow can be used on its own or over other eyeshadows. I bought the Champagne colour which works well with all looks and on all skin tones!
3. The Kiko Eye Pencil
This black eyeliner is perfect for defining the eyes! It is very soft in texture, making it perfect for blending as well as creating sharp lines, BUT it cannot be used in the waterline. The black is a true jet black and uniquely when exposed to UV light it becomes fluorescent! Personally, this wasn’t the reason I bought the pencil – I loved it because of the intense black colour and the ease with which it glided across the skin. It’s a winner if you love your black eyeliner looks!
4. The Kiko Highlighter
If you read all my posts, you will have figured out that I LOVE highlighters! I have so many I’ve lost count and I still want more! The Kiko highlighter is another great addition to my collection. It’s a gorgeous golden hue with a velvety texture. It is easy to blend and can be subtle or built up to strobe effect! The innovative formula highlights the face leaving a flawless but comfortable result. When I used it, I loved the way it caught the light and gave my skin a golden glow! It comes in 2 other colours as well, but I love the gold because it will work with everything. If you want to try a new affordable highlighter I highly recommend this one!
To complete my review I naturally had to take swatches of the products:
Kiko Milano is a great brand and its perfect for building a makeup collection or kit because the products are so inexpensive. There are various colours in everything, the ranges are always on trend and their sales are amazing! It has fast become one of my favourite brands and I always look forward to their new releases and collections. If you haven’t discovered Kiko Milano yet, you can view the entire range here. There’s a sale on the website right now so what better time to try it out!
