Sports Injuries Happen Unexpectedly
Sports injuries happen to athletes unexpectedly no matter how much they may stretch, and further prepare for each day, time or go-around that they are involved in their designated sport.
One minute athletes are up, and playing like the players they are capable of being, and the next minute they could be down, and out for the season at least, and, or require, and need surgery to repair their injury.
It could be at the beginning of the season, middle of the season, end of the season or even in a huge playoff game when the sport, and season is on the line.
Take the Brooklyn Nets Basketball Guard, Jeremy Lin, and the New York Giants Football Wide Receiver Odell Beckham for example.
Lin, who is out for the season, ruptured his patella tendon in his right knee after coming down from a layup in an away NBA basketball game last Wednesday Oct. 19, 2017 against, and at the Indiana Pacers at the beginning of the season, which just started a few weeks ago.
Beckham, who has had surgery, and is also out for the season, fractured his left ankle after coming down following an incomplete pass in the fourth quarter of an NFL football game on Sunday Oct. 8, 2017 against the former San Diego Chargers NFL football team, and-after a-recent-move, the now Los Angeles Chargers football team, and became injured earlier in the season as well in comparison to, and per the aforementioned information in this story about injury time frames, although it was when the team was establishing itself for the season, so it was ok so to speak, but not really though, because like Lin, his team needed him most at the time so that their, and their teams seasons, could, and can continue to get off on the right foot, and have a good, and successful rest of the season, and make, and have a good run in the playoffs, and win championships in their sports.
Both injuries came out of the blue, and when both stars least expected them to happen.
They are also now out of their designated sports until their injuries have healed, and, or, until they are ready to play again, and, or, cleared by team doctors, and, or other doctors to resume action, and competition, whichever their case, and, or, scenario may be.
Like Lin, Beckham and other athletes might be injured, and on the mend, but their time away from competition also makes them, and will make them, and allow them to be ready to play for their designated teams in their designated sports when they are all healed up, and ready to play again.
Their teammates, and coaches will also be happy to have them back on their active rosters because they will be able to make their impact, and contribute to their team’s successes that they intended to do before the injury bug hit them as is also case with all athletes who return to action in their designated sports after they are ready to play again.
In the meantime, other players step into roles they might not normally play in when their teammate, or teammates are out. Hence, their fellow teammates are asked, and sometimes required to step up their game in place of their injured teammates until they come back, and sometimes beyond.
