The World Given To Her
She starts out in the world just as she’s meant to be.
Weak and reliant
Her eyes develop to see what she’s supposed to see
Blinded and contrite
She speaks the words fed to her from a wooden spoon.
Condescending and full of hate
She embraces the biological clock that is forced to her womb.
Her place in the world, her fate
Caring for all those around her, the lines grow on her face
Submissive to time, it must be too late
She works to stay beautiful through the wrinkles in her face.
Irrelevant to those that see her
She embraces youth she feels that’s all she has left.
Death in an unmarked world
Reminiscing on the life she lead her mind wandering adrift.
All she left was a world unknowing her love and struggle.
The world kept her place in queue, her violent jungle.
