Tomi: Is it Too Early To Say We Told You So?
Tomi, we’d love to see you come over to the dark side (we have pink pussy hats)
Tomi Lahren is by far, the most recognizable face of the millennial conservative movement. She is known for her ability to talk fast and angry while looking fantastic; an All-American Blonde. You have to give her credit where credit is due, Tomi has the ability to both inspire and enrage both sides of her audience in each two minute interview. Her viewership is built on the people who hate her the most, as well as those who see her as a rallying point.
A quick look-over of her Facebook page shows that Tomi’s videos can get over 1 million viewers on any given day. It’s clear that this amount of viewership is influential and Tomi has the ability to stir a war-cry throughout the nation in just a single post.
So why were they so quick to suspend her after she stated, “You know what? I’m for limited government, so stay out of my guns, and you can stay out of my body as well,”? Maybe because she called her fellow conservatives hypocrites for wanting limited gun control but also wanting to have their noses up in every woman’s reproductive business. As she rightfully pointed out, you can’t have it both ways. To say the government has no right to infringe on the second amendment rights of its citizens but does have the ability to tell a woman what she can and can’t do with her body, is an old argument that Tomi decided to resurrect in one of the oddest moments in television history, at least in regards to her career as a conservative mouthpiece.
Praise Jesus, she finally got it.
The best part about it: We see that Tomi is not a robot conservative who buys into everything her party spews. It shows that you can be a conservative who thinks outside of the box, even if you are Tomi Lahren. Seriously though, we’re still surprised she said it. The worst part: Men who exploit Tomi to make money off of her rants are the deciding vote on whether or not she is worthy to be on-air based solely on the fact that she is not the perfect, blonde, conservative hell-angel they’ve invested their time and money in.
The sad fact is, that while Tomi rallied against the Women’s March, she should have been paying more attention to the men behind the camera making the decisions about her ability to TheBaze’s audience. Yes, she is allowed to rant and rave about “snowflakes” and how women who protested were whiners, but maybe she should have spent more time thinking about the real problems that women face, problems that she is publicly experiencing herself.
“Real women don’t wake up and skip work to march for abortions.”
And she was right. Real women marched for the rights of all women, including her. And I can tell you, while some of us probably feel like she’s getting what she deserves, it is a sad day to see a woman who is an integral part of a very successful online media company be thrown out like garbage because she spoke her mind.
Maybe we can recruit her!
As much as you love to hate her, you have to admit that Tomi would be unstoppable if she changed her tune after this whole debacle. It’s unlikely, but really Tomi, we’d love to see you come over to the dark side (we have pink pussy hats).
Regardless of how you feel about her, we should all feel horribly for Tomi. As much as she fought against the idea that women are not equal to men and that women’s rights are not an issue in the country, it sure looks like TheBlaze publicly grabbed her by the pussy.
